KIDS SUMMER CAMP

Welcome to the "Earth Day, Every Day" Summer Camp at the Tampa Garden Club, where young environmentalists can embrace sustainability and explore their connection with nature. This unique summer program, held in two sessions during June 2025, invites new and returning campers to engage in a variety of activities designed to foster environmental awareness and personal growth. From nature yoga and environmental crafts to insightful discussions and pledges for eco-friendly actions, each day at camp is filled with opportunities to learn and live greener. Join us in cultivating a deeper appreciation for our planet and committing to positive change!

Earth Day Every Day Summer Camp

Let's Live a Little Greener!

A summer camp devoted to supporting the environment.
Session 1- June 9-13, 2025 (new campers)
Session 2- June 16-20, 2025 (2024 campers returning)
From 8:30am - 12:30pm
Registration will open March 1, 2025
Gardens Grow Tampa FL

Camp Objectives:

Students will increase their awareness of nature, and ways they can care for or support their environment.
Students will participate in meaningful “conversations about change” focusing on the environment.
Students will make an attainable pledge or commitment to change/initiate a behavior that will have a positive impact on the environment.
Students will participate in mindfulness exercises to support their well-being and appreciation for nature/environment.

Daily Schedule (Sessions are Approximate Times)

15 minutes…Concentric Circle Purpose-getting to know you, highlight objectives/focus for the day
45 minutes…Environmental focus and discovery (share info through guest speakers, video, books, music, games, discussions)
30 minutes…Nature Yoga and Mindfulness (community and partner poses)
15 minutes…snack and break
45 minutes…Environmental craft project, games, and activities
30 minutes…Mindfulness activities (10-15 uninterrupted minutes), reflection and wrap up
Supplies needed: towel, yoga mat, healthy snacks and drink in re-usable containers (no trash except for snack packaging)
